Dragon Eyes

“… pound for pound, one of the most exciting fighters of all time.” — Inside Kung Fu

In New Orleans, a mysterious out-of-towner arrives to save a desperate community terrorized by violence and corruption. This “stranger-meets-town, stranger-then-cleans-up-town-by-beating-its-criminals-senseless” formula proves ideal for the barrage of brutal asskickery that director John Hyams (son of Peter Hyams of Outland, Timecop) delivers on this slick martial-arts flick.

Pitting talented up-and-comer Cung Le (Bodyguards and Assassins) against wave after wave of thugs led by a hilarious and almost unrecognizably manic Peter Weller (Robocop himself), Hyams does his action movie ancestry proud. Featuring Jean-Claude Van Damme as an imprisoned martial arts master with penchant for dispensing both wisdom and high-kicks — Peter Kuplowsky
